Three bedrooms sleep six: two on the main floor, one more in the loft, each with its own bathroom close by. No lining up for the shower in the morning.
Wide windows look out over the deck and the trees beyond it. A deep sofa, a pair of leather chairs, and a wood-burning warmth that has nothing to do with a fireplace — just good light and a quiet room to land in.
A private electric sauna sits on its own small deck at the edge of the clearing. Ten steps away, a ring of Adirondack chairs faces a firepit built for the kind of night that runs late.
String lights carry the path between the two, so neither needs a flashlight to find after dark.
The main-floor bedroom keeps things simple — a wide upholstered bed, soft linen, a reading lamp on each side. Its own full bath sits just steps away.
The second main-floor bedroom leans a little more layered — a brass frame, a hand-drawn tree mural, warm lamplight on both sides. Steps from its own full bath.
The third bedroom tucks into the peak of the original A-frame — plaid wallpaper, warm lamplight, a window that looks straight out into the trees. Reached by a short stair, it's the quietest room in the house, with its own queen bed and en suite bath.
Two more bedrooms sit on the main floor, each near its own full bathroom — six guests, two baths, no morning line for the shower.
Downsville is the quiet center of a small, well-loved corner of the Catskills. Everything worth driving to is close.
